Much Ado about Nothing, one of the most popular of Shakespeare’s plays, is being given a topical spin for this year’s Community Play.

Set in 1945 with street parties, homecoming soldiers and evacuees the play is a tribute to all the people who lived in St Ives in the Second World War and to the joy and excitement throughout the town when the war ended.

Sitting on the Island in St Ives watching the play as the sun goes down is open air theatre at its flag-waving best. The actors enjoy every moment and the audience is entertained, enthralled and involved. For local residents and the many visitors to St Ives alike this is good fun, family entertainment and everybody is welcome.

The Island in St Ives Cornwall is attached to the mainland so no boats needed!
